A refugee-led organization building a competitive and productive community through skills and innovation.
RemoteFugee was founded in 2019 in Kakuma refugee camp, Kenya, by a group of young refugees who understood firsthand the challenges of displacement—limited access to education, employment, and legal documentation.
What started as a small digital skills initiative has grown into a comprehensive Fit-for-Purpose Program addressing the fundamental needs of refugees and host communities across Kakuma and Kalobeyei.
Today, RemoteFugee has impacted over 3,450 learners through centered learning programs and reached 7,430 beneficiaries through outreach initiatives, contributing to rights protection, job creation, and peacebuilding.
To advocate, empower, and break the cycle of poverty by transforming 7,000 refugees into a knowledge-based economy through digital and soft skills.
To build a competitive and productive refugee community by 2030.
Our core values shape every program and initiative we deliver.
We lead with empathy and a deep understanding of displacement.
Programs designed by refugees, for refugees and host communities.
Bridging gaps between refugee and host community populations.
Leveraging technology to create sustainable opportunities.
